In late August 2015, the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) announced that they would undertake a Performance Audit of the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs (MACA). The OAG worked with MACA from October 2015 through August 2016 to complete the audit.
As a result of the Auditor General's review, the final audit was published in October 2016. In response to the audit, MACA produced an action plan to address the recommendations made by the Auditor. Please see the documents below:
