Elections for Full Council: (Nine Councillors).
For a two-year term; nominations opened May 29, 2023
December 11, 2023;
General Elections will be held in 10 hamlets with nominations opening October 23, 2023:

Aklavik – mayor and one half of the councillors (four) to a two-year term;

Enterprise – mayor and one half of the councillors (three) to a two-year term;

Fort Liard – full council (mayor and six councillors) to a two-year term;

Fort McPherson – one half of the councillors (four) to a two-year term;

Paulatuk – one half of the councillors (four) to a three-year term;

Sachs Harbour – one half of the councillors (three) to a two-year term;

Tuktoyaktuk – mayor and one half of the councillors (four) to a two-year term; and

Tulita – full council (mayor and eight councillors to a three-year term

Ulukhaktok – one half of the councillors (four) to a two-year term.

Note:
Municipal Elections in the Northwest Territories are conducted in accordance with provisions under the Local Authorities Elections Act. These municipalities have the option of changing the length of their term and follow either the Charter Communities Act, the Cities, Towns and Villages Act, the Hamlets Act, or the Tlicho Community Government Act.
