Bylaw Enforcement Training

What is the purpose of the program?

This training provides the knowledge and practical skills to effectively perform the duties of a Bylaw Enforcement Officer.  Training is focused on the unique aspects of northern communities, culture, programs and services. 

What are the objectives of the program?

  • To provide general information and references that will help students understand what is expected of a Bylaw Enforcement Officer in the NWT
  • To provide the basic knowledge that will help individuals be successful at facing the challenges of becoming a Bylaw Enforcement Officer.

Why should I take the Bylaw Enforcement Training program?

If you are a community government employee or resident simply interested in becoming a community Bylaw Enforcement Officer in the Northwest Territories this course will provide a suitable foundation for succeeding in this role.

    What do participants receive upon completion?

    Upon successful completion students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from the School of Community Government.
