Volunteerism
MACA recognizes the important role that volunteers and the voluntary sector play in developing and maintaining strong and vibrant communities in the NWT. The Department provides support by:
- Promoting greater citizen involvement in volunteerism at the local, regional and territorial level.
- Working with NWT voluntary organizations to develop capacity and coordinated activity.
- Working with other governments and agencies to bring the benefits of other volunteer programs, national and other, to the NWT.
