Sport and Recreation
Municipal and Community Affairs recognizes that sport, recreation and physical activity programs are essential to the health and well being of individual citizens and NWT communities in general. The Department provides support by:
- Assisting NWT communities to provide local sport, recreation and physical activity programs and services.
- Working with NWT sport and recreation partners to deliver coordinated regional and territories programs and services.
- Working with other governments and agencies to bring the benefits of other sport and recreation programs, national and other, to the NWT.
