Models Research Project

The Models Research Project: Northern Governance and Community Capacity Building

In 2006 the School of Community Government signed a two-year agreement with the Federal Government's Rural Secretariat to support an evaluation of the School of Community Government.  The project consists of six key activities:

  1. an environmental scan;
  2. a review of current human resource assessment processes and tools;
  3. a review of current course evaluation processes and tools;
  4. piloting new tools and conducting site evaluations;
  5. recommending changes;
  6. and a review of the new model.

The goal of the project is to evaluate the extent to which the School of Community Government facilitates and supports community governance growth and development, and responds to community needs.  A final report is expected for March 2008.
