PVC – PLASTIC PIPE IN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

Plastic pipe shall not be used in sprinkler systems for schools.
In other occupancies, the use of plastic sprinkler pipe shall comply with all the requirements of NFPA13 or NFPA 13R or NFPA 13 D.
Plastic sprinkler pipe shall only be used with quick response sprinklers and the plastic pipe shall be protected by a membrane that has a fire resistance rating. The plastic pipe shall be ULC listed for the particular installation intended.
