About Lands Administration
The Mission of the Lands Administration Division is:
To effectively manage public land that is under the administration and control of the Commissioner, to assist Community Governments in the development of their communities, and to fairly and equitably value the assessment base in the Northwest Territories.
The Lands Administration Division consists of two main program areas; Land Programs, and Property Assessment that are supported by a Policy and Program Development team.

Section 98 Determination
Recently the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs worked with the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board to deliver a determination to the City of Yellowknife under Section 98 of the Mackenzie Valley Land Use Regulations.
